Relocation help 

A lender agreed to short a client property. The sale occurred before Christmas and the lender included in the closing costs relocation moneys for the owner despite knowing she was in a nursing home. The client decided to use the funds to buy a motorized wheelchair to make it easier for her to navigate the facility.

Sometimes there are unseen assets in the home. We handled a short sale for the estate of an aunt whose niece still lived on the property. We helped the niece find another living situation, but she lacked resources to move. Among the household items was a large pile of scrap metal in which we found an old Eco Air Meter. She sold it to a collector for $700, enough to cover her moving expenses.

We’ve helped clients sell vehicles and other personal items; and even bought items ourselves when there was no other ready buyer. For one client, we paid a substantial repair bill on his motorcycle so he could get it back, and then bought it from him. He avoided forfeiting the bike and ended up with several thousand dollars in his pocket.
